Your Next Five Moves: Master the Art of Business Strategy

by Patrick Bet-David

Part of the first of the five moves is to get clear about who you want to be. So ask yourself, "Who do I want to be?"

If you're doing something, ask yourself what your hero/mentor/person you aspire to be like would do in your situation. For example, if you're building an e-commerce company, you'd ask "What would Jeff Bezos do?.

Part of the second move is to take responsibility.

I realized that for IBM to become a great company it would have to act like a great company long before it ever became one. — Thomas J. Watson

It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. — Sherlock Holmes

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. — Aristotle

At the center of your being, you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want. — Lao Tzu
